sewing project #16: the plaid dress

And here we have my Thanksgiving outfit. Sewing this dress with a fall plaid wasn't my original intentions, but  I'm glad I went with this fabric choice. The pattern for this dress is from BurdaStyles new book, BurdaStyle Sewing Vintage Modern. When I was asked to pick a pattern from the book to sew, I immediately was drawn towards the Elizabeth Gathered-Waist Dress! The only variation made on this dress is that I shortened it. I can't wait to remake it for a more fancy occasion~
