Urban Outfitters shirt, Self-sewn skirt, Zara heels
Thank you for the photos, Paulina!
I made this skirt earlier this week and had been dying to wear it, but I decided to save it for the brunch yesterday.Whenever I'm looking to practice my sewing skills I always tend to make a circle skirt. I took out the serger on this project, taking the time to serge the hem and as well serge the seam where the waistband and skirt meet. Even though you don't see the inside of the waistband, such a small detail really makes this skirt feel less "homemade" and a bit more on the professional side.
Since we still have some warmer weather ahead of us I picked a lighter fabric. I figured brown would be a good color as well because it fits with the upcoming fall season. There isn't a tutorial on this skirt because it's a simple circle skirt that has a gathered waistband, but I'm not ruling the idea out either. If you have any questions on how to make it let me know!
It's looks so pretty! Absolutely perfect!
